The spirit of science
O son, of human intellect, the wisdom born off the seeds of creation,
The throne highest, of human soul, findings and foundation,
O the golden oracle, blessed with elegance and conscience glow,
You reveal to us the galaxies, the trees, the ocean's harmonic flow.
You are the inner Sun, that emerged after the thousandth night,
From ashes of wisdom long-lost, like the Phoenix of light,
You emerged as the glory of man, the Opal of wisdom and faith,
That shines forth in the human heart, in each and every breath.
From Newtonian mechanics to Mendel's golden laws,
From the advent of dynamics to relativity free of flaws,
Throughout ages and ages, had people believed in thee,
The fruit of their journey, to the long-anticipated Wisdom-tree,
In your sparkling abyss, I found harmony in the universe whole,
The mysteries of creation, the nature of human soul,
You lifted us from dark caves to the thrones of gold,
You are our savior, our hope the nature to unfold.
The ancient pile of dust over the ancient road of knowledge
Is swept off and blown by the winds, us your tunes amaze,
The leaves of days old over the tome of sacred lore
Are rejuvenated as greenery, by your light we adore,
You are the ancient light, the eternally adored and chanted name,
Your wand fills with golden life even mud and clay so lame
Into colossal creations, and in that you reveal your might,
Your elegance and beauty, your youth forever bright,
In your temple now stands, your servant with folded hands,
And he begs you of success, of the liberation of oceans and lands,
Of provinces and nations, of the society and its men,
Of the humanity in humans, for us your worshippers to regain.
Blow, oh tunes of science, echo along the windy plains,
Of our humble hearts, bring upon us the sacred rains
Of wise thoughts and actions, views and philosophical gleam,
Lead us along your mighty steps, oh science, celestial beam.
