The Sun, a hymn to the glory of

The Sun, a hymn to the glory of

Hail to you, oh Sun, of evergreen, eternal glow,
Oh loving father, of all your children below,
We gather this day to be bathed in your light
As a new dawn breaks, at the end of night.

All dark shadows cower and vanish before your rays,
As together we assemble, singing your melodious praise.
Glory unto you, oh Kashyapa's brilliant son,
And glory be unto your perennial light reborn!

You who are the source of all brightness on earth,
Maker of the organic laws of life, death and rebirth,
Are you not worthy of being worshipped thus,
Oh caring creator of water, air, plants and grass?

Yours is the light that brings forth the new day,
And yours is the aura that liberates us from dismay.
Yours is the sight that leads us to eternal truth,
And the radiance that destroys deceit and falsehood.

You, whose sacred laws the nature abides by,
Blessed be your ascent to the firmament of the sky,
And blessed be your steps, and your celestial stride,
Beholding which diffuses our malice, greed and pride.

Like you bring an end to misleading treacheries of dark,
End our misery and gloom, oh truth's undying spark!
And as you fill our hearts with renewed warmth and joy,
Our inner abyssal evil, may your healing light destroy!

Oh radiant, eternal lord, together we chant your name,
As our strengthened gazes behold your immortal flame,
May thus you return, welcomed forever with our hymns,
To bless and rejuvenate us all, with your brightening beams.
